Specialist Inventory
📍 Location: Beltsville,MD | 🕒 Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMPosition Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring materials and products are received, stored, tracked, and issued correctly. This role partners with operations, procurement, and logistics teams to support efficient workflows, prevent shortages, and reduce excess stock.Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system.Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits; reconcile discrepancies.Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and quality.Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and plan replenishment.Investigate inventory variances, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.Organize and label inventory for efficient storage and retrieval.Prepare inventory reports for management, including usage trends, shortages, and cost analysis.Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory standards.Support warehouse leadership with special projects as needed.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain operations.Experience with inventory management systems (ERP, WMS, or similar).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and reporting tools.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. daily.Comfortable working in warehouse/distribution environments.What We Offer Competitive pay and benefits (eligibility upon meeting required hours and conversion to full-time).Opportunities for career growth and advancement.A supportive and collaborative team environment.Pay Details: $20.50 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
