Executive Regional Director, Environmental Services
Summary
We are partnered with a internationally recognized engineering and environmental consulting organization that is seeking a Executive Regional Director to lead and scale a high-growth Environmental Servicespractice.
This is an executive leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, profitability, and long-term growth of a regional practice serving complex infrastructure, environmental, and industrial clients. The individual will oversee business development, operations, financial performance, and team leadership while ensuring exceptional client delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
This opportunity is ideal for a proven consulting leader with a strong background in client development, project execution, and practice leadership who is motivated to build and lead a market-facing business at scale. Open to various technical disciplines in the environmental permitting, planning, and engineering space.
This position is flexibly in-office or can be remote for individuals not located near an office.
The compensation range is $300,000-$525,000 highly commensurate on seniority, relevant experience, and business development and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own sales, revenue, and P&L for the regional practice; drive profitable growth across core market sectors
- Lead strategic planning across business operations, go-to-market, pricing, and client retention
- Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to identify expansion opportunities and emerging trends
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, margin performance, and executive reporting
- Ensure successful project delivery, meeting or exceeding quality, schedule, and budget expectations
- Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, project scoping, and resource planning
- Direct multidisciplinary environmental project teams from pursuit through execution
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; conduct performance management for direct reports
- Align regional teams on staffing, quality control, and resource utilization
- Enforce quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across all operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, business, or a related discipline
- Senior level consulting experience, preferably within engineering or environmental services
- Proven success in client development, revenue growth, and practice leadership
- Expert-level experience in project management, including proposals, contracts, budgets, and schedules
- Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, financial forecasting, and margin performance
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
