Overview
We are seeking a VP Of Origination or Acquisitions to lead third-party business development and developer relationships across our solar and storage investment platform. This individual will own developer-facing origination strategy, manage a small BD team, and drive execution of acquisition opportunities from initial relationship through negotiation and close.
This is a senior, industry-experienced role focused on developer relationships and deal execution, not PPA structuring or financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solar and storage acquisition origination with third-party developers.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate site and platform opportunities.
- Own relationships with key development partners and expand the firm’s developer network.
- Manage and mentor junior business development professionals.
- Partner closely with internal underwriting and investment teams, acting as the business owner of transactions.
- Drive deals through internal approval processes in coordination with senior leadership.
- Represent the firm externally with developers, advisors, and market participants
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in renewable energy acquisitions, origination, or developer-facing business development.
- Established relationships with U.S. solar and storage developers.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial judgment.
- Solid understanding of project economics and transaction structures, without needing to build models.
- Experience with storage highly preferred.
- Prior leadership or team management experience strongly preferred.
- Must come from industry. This is not an entry-level or learning role.

- Not a financial modeling role.
- Not a junior step-up position.
Reporting
This role will report to senior leadership (CIO or President) and play a critical role in scaling the firm’s origination capabilities.
