Associate VMS Software Engineer
Requirements
Must have:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development – Proficiency in implementing control system algorithms within real-time embedded software – Experience in developing firmware for real-time embedded applications – Effective teamwork skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders of varied backgrounds – Familiarity with developing embedded real-time software – Experience with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS) – Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) methodologies – Experience with Agile software development practices – Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering – Typically 2 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the creation, documentation, and upkeep of software architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs – Code and maintain software components, ensuring they integrate into a complete functioning system – Assist in formulating test procedures and documenting results to confirm requirements are satisfied – Aid in the management of software projects and supplier relations – Choose, customize, and implement processes and tools; set performance metrics – Conduct software research and comparative analyses – Diagnose and resolve software issues – Operate under general supervision
