Requirements

Must have:

– Active DoD 8570/8140 IAM security certification such as Security+, CAP, CASP, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent – Proven experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems – Understanding of SIEM operations, log aggregation, vulnerability scanning, antivirus, DLP concepts, IDS/IPS, Nmap, Wireshark, and similar applications – Experience in configuring and utilizing vulnerability scanners – Familiarity with basic networking principles and methods to secure network devices – Minimum three years of experience in IT or Information Security – Proficient in at least one programming language such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python – Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework as outlined by NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-171, with experience in the CMMC framework – Capability to convey complex technical solutions to peers and management – Awareness of cloud security principles – Must possess an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a cybersecurity subject matter expert within our organization – Provide complex technical solutions for project planning, development, implementation, and support, including failover and recovery strategies – Design, implement, and troubleshoot security information and event management (SIEM) frameworks – Develop and update SIEM alerts, dashboards, macros, tags, and field aliases – Formulate strategies for log ingestion and aggregation – Establish and execute Disaster Recovery Plans and Standard Operating Procedures – Have knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and other authentication/encryption methods – Create and enhance vulnerability scanner outputs, reports, and dashboards – Offer technical expertise in conducting risk management activities, including disaster recovery, operational continuity, and incident response – Support the administration of security policy creation and maintenance within a hybrid cloud environment – Collaborate with IT to develop innovative cloud security approaches and implementations to safeguard organizational assets
