Must have:

– Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field focused on software development – A minimum of 2 years of professional experience – Over 3 years of experience programming in C and C++ – At least 2 years of experience with Linux in an embedded context and/or baremetal C on a microcontroller – Strong ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs – Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and effective communication skills – Must qualify for U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required, as an interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance is necessary post-start

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with hardware, control, and system engineers to define and develop software specifications, architectures, and designs for fault-tolerant spacecraft – Rapidly prototype innovative software solutions to validate architectural and design concepts, assess technical risk, and create new capabilities – Implement designs in C/C++, integrate software elements, develop and execute unit tests, validate on Hardware-in-the-Loop, and deliver real-time embedded solutions – Support system verification and qualification, evaluate outputs, and document results to ensure software meets system requirements and mission-critical standards – Manage all stages of software development and troubleshooting from inception through post-launch support – Work alongside hardware engineers to verify hardware-hardware and hardware-software interactions – Decompose the software development tasks for a project into smaller discrete assignments for other team members to implement while monitoring their progress – Conduct code reviews to ensure that the developed software is functionally correct, efficient, and adheres to our coding standards
