About The Role The Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within Claritev’s healthcare technology initiatives. This role involves eliciting, organizing, and documenting detailed business requirements to ensure project teams develop solutions that truly address customer needs. The incumbent will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments, managing multiple priorities and expectations, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Business Analyst will support the entire project lifecycle—from requirements gathering and analysis to technical design, development, testing, and implementation—ensuring solutions are cost-effective and aligned with organizational goals.

This position requires a proactive individual capable of working independently on projects of varying complexity, supporting end-user training, and fostering strong relationships across disciplines. The role is considered high-risk due to exposure to sensitive PHI data and demands a high level of confidentiality and adherence to regulatory standards. The Business Analyst will also contribute to process improvements, facilitate communication among technical and non-technical teams, and demonstrate a commitment to Claritev’s core values of innovation, accountability, and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in business analysis or system design within healthcare data solutions, AI-driven analytics, automation, or software development projects
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques including BDD, user stories, and backlog refinement
  • Familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of business process modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidcharts, or Draw.io
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows, especially related to claim processing, is a plus
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with management and team members
  • Commitment to customer service excellence and confidentiality, especially regarding PHI data

Responsibilities

  • Conduct meetings with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and negotiate requirements ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Manage multiple priorities, customer expectations, and stakeholder relationships across departments
  • Collaborate with developers and technical staff to determine project scope and effort estimates
  • Develop cost-effective, customer-focused solutions in partnership with project teams
  • Perform walkthroughs with application development teams during the transition from analysis to development
  • Support technical design, programming, unit testing, and implementation stages of projects
  • Coordinate and document changes to functional specifications throughout the development lifecycle
  • Work independently on projects of varying complexity, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards
  • Assist in training end-users and staff members to maximize solution adoption
  • Facilitate cross-disciplinary communication to promote project success and process improvements
  • Ensure all project activities comply with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Claritev’s core values and ethical standards
