Senior Software Engineer (Travel Required)
Requirements
Must have:
– A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required – Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience – Proficient in software development, testing, and/or integration using C, C++, or Ada – Familiarity with scripting languages such as C, Shell, or Perl – Experience utilizing debugging tools to identify and rectify software issues as well as improve code performance – Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date – U.S. citizenship is mandatory for eligibility to secure a clearance
Responsibilities:
- Willingness to travel 15% of the time within the Contiguous United States and internationally – Provide software support to both domestic and international sites, including updates and investigation of software issues, occasionally during off-hours – Design, create, and test software based on trouble reports in a collaborative Agile environment, with builds delivered biannually – Engage in Agile processes and ongoing improvement activities – Collaborate with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modifications to the existing baseline
