About The Role

The Contract Senior Recruiter for Design & Creative at Under Armour plays a vital role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top creative talent across the organization’s Product Design (including Apparel & Footwear) and Brand Creative teams. This position requires a keen eye for design excellence, a deep understanding of creative portfolios, and the ability to engage with design professionals effectively. The role involves partnering closely with design and creative leadership to develop strategic recruiting plans, manage the full recruitment lifecycle, and build a diverse pipeline of high-caliber talent. As a key contributor to the talent acquisition team, the Senior Recruiter will ensure a seamless candidate experience, leverage market insights for strategic decision-making, and support workforce planning initiatives to meet the company’s creative staffing needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of recruiting experience, or 9 years of relevant work experience without a degree.
  • Proven experience recruiting within a design or creative environment, preferably in apparel, footwear, or consumer brands.
  • Strong sourcing skills, including proficiency in Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, portfolio review, and industry-specific sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building trusted relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of global design talent markets, industry trends, and creative networks.
  • Relevant sourcing certifications such as LinkedIn Recruiter Certification, AIRS/Boolean training, or equivalent.
  • Experience recruiting across product design (apparel, footwear, graphics) and brand creative (marketing, content, digital design).

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for mid- to senior-level design and creative roles, focusing on Product Design and Brand Creative teams.
  • Partner with design leaders and hiring managers to understand business needs, role requirements, and team culture.
  • Proactively source and engage top creative talent through platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, portfolio sites, industry networks, and design communities.
  • Screen and assess candidates, evaluating their design expertise, creative skills, and cultural fit within the organization.
  • Ensure a best-in-class candidate experience by maintaining timely communication and transparent process updates.
  • Utilize market data, competitor insights, and compensation benchmarks to inform search strategies and hiring decisions.
  • Develop and implement inclusive sourcing strategies to build diverse candidate pipelines.
  • Manage the offer process, including compensation discussions, offer delivery, and pre-boarding support.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition teams to support broader hiring initiatives and workforce planning for creative functions.
  • Contribute to talent mapping efforts and strategic workforce planning to align with organizational goals.
