Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate maintains and optimizes DB2 databases on IBM iSeries while supporting Synon (CA 2E) applications and system administration tasks.Rate Range: $49/hour to 64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Developer job responsibilities include:Design, develop, and maintain software applications based on business requirements and technical specifications.Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.Perform debugging and troubleshooting to resolve software defects and performance issues.Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and maintain code quality.Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on software development experience.Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or .NET, and experience with modern frameworks.Proven ability to collaborate in Agile environments and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
