About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with over five years of experience in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing automation solutions that are production-ready, optimizing both cloud-based and on-premises systems for performance and cost efficiency, and implementing self-service capabilities to streamline deployment processes. This role requires expertise in AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD systems, with a proven track record of managing hybrid cloud environments and enforcing security best practices. The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering teams to enable multiple daily deployments while ensuring system reliability and security. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the infrastructure backbone of a fast-growing technology company and contribute to innovative solutions in the logistics industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or 5 years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, and security practices
  • Proven expertise in AWS services, Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline development
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments and infrastructure optimization
  • Experience provisioning and managing on-premises servers and compute resources
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Bash
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools including Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable deployment across AWS and on-premises environments
  • Optimize existing infrastructure for enhanced performance, cost efficiency, and high availability
  • Manage secrets, credentials, and access controls to ensure secure operations
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to provide comprehensive visibility into infrastructure health
  • Develop automation tools and self-service portals to eliminate manual deployment processes and reduce bottlenecks
  • Enforce infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices and ensure environment parity between development, testing, and production
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support multiple daily deployments while maintaining system stability and security
  • Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure security measures and compliance adherence
  • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and incident response activities
