About the Role
In this role, you won’t just sell; you will lead the charge in connecting with college teams, athletes, agents, and businesses to bring custom apparel programs, event merchandising, and large scale uniform orders to life. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, relationship management, and revenue generation with a strong understanding of the NIL landscape and team merchandising programs with an emphasis on corporate gifting opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead outbound sales efforts targeting NIL opportunities, team partnerships, and corporate clients.
- Build high impact relationships with athletes, agents, athletic departments, and brand managers to unlock custom merchandising and NIL activation opportunities.
- Identify and close multi-channel deals for uniforms, branded apparel, and at-once event orders with corporate partners, teams, and organizations.
- Develop customized sales pitches and product solutions to align with client goals, brand vision, and market opportunities.
- Lead the entire sales process from outreach and discovery to negotiation and final execution, ensuring exceptional client service at every point.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless transactions.
- Create and refine outbound sales strategies, lead generation tactics, and pipeline management processes that drive sustainable, scalable growth.
- Track KPIs, sales performance, and campaign ROI to ensure alignment with revenue targets and strategic objectives.
- Stay current with NIL regulations, collegiate licensing policies, and emerging trends in branded team gear and event merchandising.
- Serve as the main point of contact for key corporate accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to refine offerings based on client needs and market demands.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
- Deep knowledge of the NIL ecosystem, NCAA compliance, team/league operations, or collegiate partnerships.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-value accounts and drive consistent revenue growth.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident presenter and persuasive storyteller.
- Highly organized with strong management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform strategy, optimize outreach, and improve close rates.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a hunter mentality – driven, self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity.
