Requirements


Must have:

– Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on embedded software development – Minimum of 5 years of professional experience – Proficient in C and C++ programming for at least 5 years – At least 3 years of experience working in a Linux embedded environment or coding in bare-metal C on microcontrollers – Capable of adapting to a dynamic work environment with shifting needs and expectations – Strong independence and teamwork skills, demonstrating initiative and effective communication – Experience in concurrent hardware/software development – Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities:


  • Assist in system verification and qualification, documenting results to ensure software meets mission-critical requirements – Collaborate with hardware, control, and system engineers to establish software requirements, architectures, and designs for fault-tolerant spacecraft – Manage all phases of software development and problem-solving from program initiation through post-launch support – Rapidly prototype innovative software solutions to validate design concepts, assess technical risks, and introduce new functionalities – Implement software designs in C/C++, integrate software components, and conduct unit tests, validating on Hardware-in-the-Loop and delivering real-time embedded solutions – Work alongside hardware engineers to confirm hardware-hardware and hardware-software interfaces – Deconstruct program software development into smaller tasks for efficient implementation and progress monitoring – Conduct code reviews to ensure developed software is functional, efficient, and aligns with our coding standards
