Mid-career ground systems engineer – Millennium Space

Requirements

Must have:

– Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field – Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience – Proficient in communicating technical details both verbally and in written form – Experience in generating system designs using iterative and agile development methodologies – Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Math, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (preferred) – At least 2 years of experience in designing, developing, and/or operating ground software and systems (preferred) – Active TS/SCI security clearance (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Define requirements for ground software and the entire ground segment – Manage customer relationships through trade studies, development, and testing to meet mission requirements – Design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver large-scale ground software and mission control systems – Collaborate with other Millennium staff to conduct testing on components, subsystems, and spacecraft in various configurations – Develop integration plans and procedures for incorporating Millennium software applications into government-provided software and infrastructure – Oversee integrated system test events, linking Millennium-developed products and government systems – Design implementation plans and interfaces for mission data processing applications to support payload elements and user segments – Provide support for ground software and systems during on-orbit activities, including launch, early operations, and end-of-life operations – Assist with proposals for new ground software and systems in relation to new business opportunities – Perform other related duties as assigned
