Tactical RF Sensor Engineer (Mid/Senior)
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications – For Level 3: Over 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree, or a suitable mix of experience and technical education – For Level 4: More than 9 years of related experience with a bachelors degree, or equivalent experience and technical education – Preferred: Experience with tactical RF sensors including radar, communication, or electronic warfare systems – Preferred: Proven leadership experience in managing an engineering team – Preferred: Familiarity with Department of Defense Certification activities – Preferred: Experience using Cameo or similar model-based systems engineering tools – Preferred: Skills in developing requirements and ensuring their traceability – Preferred: Knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies in development programs – Preferred: Experience with lab testing and verification for RF sensors
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities of an engineering team utilizing agile tools (JIRA, Confluence) – Provide technical guidance and ensure technical excellence within the subsystem team – Authorize and oversee technical strategies and engineering within the subsystem team – Collaborate with clients to define and document intricate electronic and electrical system requirements – Transform requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications – Test and validate RF systems to verify designs fulfill operational and functional standards – Monitor supplier performance to guarantee system integration and adherence to requirements – Address issues and support fielded hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle – Investigate emerging technology trends for possible integration into business solutions – Employ model-based systems engineering (MBSE) for hardware, software, and performance model development, including requirements, interface definitions, and traceability – Engage in hardware and software development, integration, testing, and verification activities – Integrate RF sensor technologies – Develop supplier requirements and evaluate technology across diverse engineering teams – Assess prototype hardware and software, perform lab integration, analysis, and testing – Serve as the primary conduit between program leadership, suppliers, and customers
