Must have:

– Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field – A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience – At least 3 years of expertise in Guidance Navigation and Control engineering – Proficient in using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX for system modeling

Responsibilities:


  • Define mission requirements for Guidance, Navigation, and Control, ensuring traceability and quality from system to component level – Employ multidisciplinary model data to develop and refine a sophisticated, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation model – Utilize various programming languages including C, C++, FORTRAN, and Python to create, implement, integrate, and test vehicle models and controllers – Design flight control laws applying modern linear control techniques to meet performance targets – Conduct advanced nonlinear analysis to evaluate and enhance control law design – Perform model validation with test data to improve simulation accuracy – Develop supplementary controllers, limiters, and signal shaping to regulate performance across all phases of the flight envelope – Collaborate with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) engineers to integrate control laws into the operational flight program – Assist with flight simulations encompassing desktop, software, and real-time simulations – Support hardware-in-the-loop development and testing – Aid in planning and executing flight tests – Lead design reviews, analyses, simulations, and component/system testing to ensure products meet or surpass customer expectations – Mentor and train other team members
