Requirements

Must have:

– Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry – 14+ years of relevant engineering experience with a Bachelors degree, or 12+ years with a Masters degree, or 9+ years with a PhD – Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance – Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance – Previous experience in tactical fighters program (preferred) – Experience in designing, verifying, and fielding avionics subsystems (preferred) – Proficiency in circuit card and backplane design and integration (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary technical expert and lead engineer for Mission Computers and Stores Management hardware – Oversee the hardware supplier design team to meet Tactical Fighters program requirements – Develop interface control documents that outline mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces – Investigate and resolve technical issues at subsystem, system, and platform integration levels – Contribute to weapon capability development and its integration onto fighter platforms – Provide status updates to internal stakeholders and external clients – Assist in subsystem testing for the Mission Systems Hardware – Participate in system testing during ESIL and Flight Test phases – Support efforts related to airworthiness for design, development, and implementation of hardware
