Requirements


Must have:

– Bachelors degree in aerospace engineering or a related engineering/science field – At least 5 years of experience in the aerospace sector, particularly with spacecraft systems – Proven leadership abilities and effective communication skills – Knowledge of space systems engineering principles and methodologies – Familiarity with program management practices and tools – Experience managing power, mass, and various system budgets – Expertise in requirements analysis and addressing design flow down – Background in design verification and validation processes – Experience with configuration management – Involvement in satellite-level integration and test procedures – Eligibility to obtain TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership in systems engineering for functional, environmental, and performance testing – Understand and process spacecraft subsystems functions and interfaces, developing integrated spacecraft system designs and solutions – Manage all aspects of spacecraft systems engineering during ATLO, focusing on requirements verification, validation, support for integration and test operations, anomaly resolution, and risk management – Collaborate with subsystem engineering teams to guarantee system testing meets established requirements – Engage in software integration and testing to validate mission functionality – Address and resolve cross-functional technical challenges, leading Engineering Review Boards and Failure Review Boards while coordinating Design Review closures
