Spacecraft Systems Engineer – Millennium Space Systems
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in aerospace engineering or a related engineering or science field – At least 1 year of hands-on experience in the aerospace industry, ideally with spacecraft systems – Proven experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) software and principles (e.g., Cameo, SysML, UML) – Strong leadership and communication abilities – Familiarity with space systems engineering methodologies and practices – Understanding of system budgets including power and mass – Experience with requirements analysis and flow-down processes – Knowledge of design verification and validation techniques – Familiarity with configuration management – Experience with satellite integration and testing procedures – Understanding of satellite operations in orbit – Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship
Responsibilities:
- Lead model-based systems engineering efforts for satellite programs – Support various aspects of spacecraft systems engineering, including preliminary concept development, trade studies, and CONOPS definition – Decompose and allocate requirements, define interface requirements, and support integration and test operations – Collaborate with subsystem engineering teams to ensure successful system execution – Participate in software integration and testing to ensure mission functionality prior to operational deployment – Analyze technical data and sustain systems configurations according to operational requirements – Conduct analyses to enhance spacecraft system performance and architecture – Resolve cross-functional technical challenges
