Mission analysis engineer – Millennium Systems
Requirements
Must have:
– 9+ years of experience in aerospace systems design, analysis, or operations – Bachelors degree in engineering, physical sciences, or computer science – Proficient in modeling and simulation of complex satellite systems using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Python, or C++ – Familiar with EO/IR optical systems and image processing algorithms – Knowledgeable in orbital mechanics and kinematic state estimation – Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship – An interim or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance may be necessary post-start
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage simulations for large satellite constellations to evaluate performance against mission requirements – Take ownership of the Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) image processing algorithms from inception to deployment – Create models for space vehicle payloads for system trade studies and performance assessments – Design innovative algorithms, models, and data processing techniques for EO/IR sensing and tracking systems – Lead the development of Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) and Design Reference Mission (DRM) modeling and simulation – Work collaboratively with software and firmware teams to create platforms for simulation deployment (e.g., software/hardware-in-the-loop)
