Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of launch support hardware. This role involves creating innovative mechanical components and mechanisms, ensuring quality through testing, and supporting design modifications.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee testing of mechanical components and mechanisms for launch systems.
- Assist in planning and executing design modifications and design reviews.
- Apply model-based definition methodologies in design processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%).
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in CREO for mechanical design.
- Experience with DSR6 (Model-Based Definition) methodology.
- Strong understanding of mechanical mechanisms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with tooling and MGSE (Mechanical Ground Support Equipment).
- Knowledge of welded steel structures and AWS D17.1 standards.
- Experience with welding and related specifications.
