Description: Our client is currently seeking a Systems Engineer 4

Systems Engineer 4

Time/Time Zone: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Shifts: 1st shift

Onsite/remote/hybrid: 100% on site

Job Description:

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

  • Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Engineering experience across multiple domains of engineering expertise

  • Engineering Experience 3-5 years each in a multitude of relevant engineering disciplines in addition to systems engineering such as:

  • Electrical / Mechanical design

  • Software/Firmware design / testing

  • Test Engineering – developing test sets, HIL/SIL experience

  • Manufacturing / Process engineer

  • 3 years Systems Engineering

  • Experience deploying program/product from design to fielding – 1st hand experience (doing) developing requirements, design criteria, verification and validation test cases / plans

  • Systems Training – INCOSE SEP certification, graduate school systems degree/certificate

  • Familiarity with Defense Acquisition University – System Engineering

  • Experience with application of digital engineering concepts (MBSE) and open systems (WOSA, FACE, etc)

Preferred:

  • Proposal development experience – technical CONOP and solution development for proposal technical team

  • Basics of PMP or EVM concepts
