We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position of Event Management-Program Manager to work at San Jose, CA.
Event Program Manager (Large-Scale Events & Operations)
Location: San Jose, CA
P ay Rate: $50-$52hr
Duration: Long-term contract
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end event management and production, including logistics, venue management, catering, transportation, content coordination, and promotions
- Partner with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to plan and deliver high-impact events
- Develop and deliver post-event reports, retrospectives, and actionable insights
- Define and implement processes to measure event impact, track KPIs, and report outcomes to stakeholders
- Manage multiple concurrent events while adapting to shifting priorities and timelines
- Maintain oversight of event budgets, vendor negotiations, and contracts
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in event planning, event operations, or program management
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets for tracking, reporting, and analysis
- Experience with budget management, negotiation, and executive presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically
- Experience building dashboards and automating operational processes
- Familiarity with developer relations, technical events, or developer communities
