Position: Exceptional Software Engineer (Linux / Bash / Python)

Compensation: $85–$120/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Build, configure, and maintain high-performance software systems supporting next-generation AI and machine learning applications.
• Work extensively in Linux environments, handling system configuration, file systems, permissions, kernel-level interactions, and command-line tooling.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable APIs and service layers that interface with advanced AI models.
• Write and maintain robust Bash scripts, Python code, and system-level utilities.
• Debug complex system, networking, and performance issues with a high level of precision.
• Collaborate asynchronously with researchers and engineers to improve system reliability and scalability.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software or systems engineering in high-performance or demanding technical environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Linux, including terminal-based workflows, system debugging, and UNIX tooling.
• Strong experience with Bash, Python, Shell scripting, C, and low-level debugging.
• Strong experience with Docker, Git, networking fundamentals, and API development.
• Experience working with large codebases and/or contributing to open-source repositories.
• Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
