Data Engineer – Machine Learning Data Enablement

Location: Onsite 4 days/week (Monday-Thursday) in Cincinnati, OH

Type: Full-Time

About the Role

I’m looking for a Data Engineer to join a newly formed Machine Learning Data Enablement team. This group is focused on building high-quality, scalable data pipelines that support machine learning models across the organization. The work centers on delivering reliable, well-structured data that powers ML development and deployment in modern cloud environments.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that support machine learning workflows
• Deliver curated, production-ready datasets for data scientists and ML engineers
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to understand data needs and modeling requirements
• Support the development and deployment of ML models by ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability
• Work with modern data tooling and cloud platforms to enhance data delivery processes
• Contribute to shaping how machine learning data is managed and delivered across the organization
• Participate in the early stages of a growing team, helping define best practices and long-term architecture

Required Skills

• Strong SQL skills
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience preparing, cleaning, and transforming data
• Interest in machine learning workflows and data-driven product development
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new tools and technologies

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with dbt
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms
• Exposure to ML platforms such as SageMaker or Databricks (not required, but helpful)
