Travel Speech Language Pathologist Job
Embark on a dynamic journey as a Travel Speech Language Pathologist, starting February 23, 2026, with a primary placement in Hilo, Hawaii. This opportunity invites you to apply your clinical expertise to evaluate communication disorders, design individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with families, schools, and medical teams to unlock each patient’s potential. In this role you’ll encounter a diverse caseload—from articulation and language development in children to swallowing and adult communication needs—while leveraging the latest evidence-based practices. As you travel, you’ll build a comprehensive toolkit, broaden your clinical perspective, and influence meaningful outcomes in ways that endure beyond the therapy room. All the while, you’ll experience the unique rhythm, culture, and natural beauty of the Hawaiian Islands, where the warmth of community meets the reward of impactful care.
Hilo offers a welcoming, family-friendly environment with accessible clinics, a vibrant local culture, and the opportunity to work against a backdrop of ocean vistas, lush landscapes, and volcanic scenery. You’ll benefit from a setting that supports professional excellence and personal well-being, with the chance to enjoy island life between meaningful clinical moments. Beyond this beautiful base, there is also the possibility to work in various locations across the United States, exposing you to different patient populations, school systems, hospital workflows, and community health needs. This breadth of experience strengthens your assessment and treatment skills, expands your network of colleagues across disciplines, and elevates your professional profile as a versatile, travel-ready clinician.
In this role you’ll deliver comprehensive SLP services across multiple settings and populations. Core responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments of speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing; developing and implementing individualized treatment plans; delivering evidence-based interventions; documenting progress and adjusting plans to maximize outcomes; educating families and caregivers on strategies for practice at home; participating in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning; ensuring compliance with licensing, ethics, and privacy standards; and contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives. You’ll have opportunities to specialize or extend your practice in pediatric augmentative and alternative communication, adult neurogenic communication rehabilitation, feeding and swallowing therapy, voice therapy, and early intervention. The role is crafted to support ongoing professional growth, credential attainment, and leadership pathways within a traveling clinician model, enabling you to refine your expertise while exploring new clinical settings.
We offer competitive compensation, including a weekly pay range of $2,914 to $3,015, plus the potential for a sign-on bonus and robust housing assistance to help you settle quickly in Hawaii or any new locale. Because you’ll be on the move, you’ll receive 24/7 support from our dedicated team, ready to assist with housing, logistics, credentialing, and on-the-ground guidance wherever your assignments take you. There are extension opportunities, allowing you to renew or extend assignments based on performance, patient needs, and your personal goals, providing continuity and the chance to deepen expertise in preferred settings. While there are no guaranteed hours, the schedule is designed with flexibility to accommodate patient demand, clinic hours, and your availability, helping you balance professional commitments with life in transition.
Our company values empower you to grow—from onboarding through ongoing career development—within a supportive work environment that prioritizes your well-being and professional advancement. We champion mentorship, collaboration, and transparent communication, fostering a culture where your clinical voice is respected, your questions are welcomed, and your contributions are celebrated. You’ll join a community of like-minded clinicians who share best practices, celebrate success stories, and support one another across placements and disciplines, all while pursuing your personal and professional aspirations.
