Software Development Engineer – Java/Python
Requirements
Must have:
– Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience – Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience – Proven ability in developing automation pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Git – Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash – Experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems – Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is essential – U.S. citizenship is a must for security clearance eligibility – Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools – Experience managing and configuring Jenkins pipelines – Background in developing, testing, and delivering applications in a DevSecOps framework – Knowledge of software artifact storage solutions, such as JFrog Artifactory – Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Podman – Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities – Excellent communication and collaboration skills – Background in developing complex systems using C/C , Java, or similar object-oriented languages – Understanding of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop tools for software deployment in lab and client environments – Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define and implement software factory flows – Create automation pipelines to enhance the integration process of upstream software releases – Automate configuration management tasks to improve efficiency – Document software release processes and tooling comprehensively – Engage in code reviews to ensure adherence to high coding standards and practices – Stay updated on industry advancements in software factories and continuous delivery
