Construction Senior Accountant

Job Description Our client located in the North Perimeter area is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The position is open due to growth and the duties include the following:

• Complete month-end closings for several companies

• Prepare monthly financial packages for review by Controller

• Great communication skills and detail oriented

• Reconcile inter-company accounts, employee/sub advance accounts, and miscellaneous accounts

• Maintain Contracts in Progress schedule and record over/under billing entries

• Verify with accounts payable and payroll team that sales tax and payroll taxes have been paid

• Maintain fixed assets schedules and record depreciation entries

• Maintain a schedule that verifies utility, rent, and credit card bills are received and paid on time

• Communicate with accounts payable team and request status of invoices that are unapproved

• Maintain list of bank accounts, signature cards, and credit cards

• Place stop payments, request cashiers check, request information on debits and credits from the bank

• Assist Controller with other items as requested

• 3 to 7 years accounting experience

• Prior experience working for a trade contractor (concrete, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) a plus

• Multi-family construction experience a plus

• SAGE/Timberline or Viewpoint experience a plus

• Accounting Degree required

• Construction industry experience a must

• Base Salary 70K-75K plus bonus and excellent benefits
