Platform Architect
Platform Architect CIS AWS Infrastructure Role Overview: The Platform Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient AWS cloud infrastructure solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud architecture aligns with business objectives and industry best practices. ____ Key Responsibilities: Architecture Design: o Develop and maintain AWS cloud architecture frameworks for enterprise applications. o Design solutions for high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery. Cloud Strategy & Governance: o Define cloud adoption strategies and migration plans. o Ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks and security standards. Infrastructure Automation: o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. o Automate deployment pipelines and operational tasks. Performance & Cost Optimization: o Monitor and optimize AWS resources for performance and cost efficiency. o Recommend reserved instances, auto-scaling, and right-sizing strategies. Security & Compliance: o Apply AWS security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security). o Conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Collaboration & Leadership: o Work closely with DevOps, application teams, and stakeholders. o Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong experience in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, etc.). Expertise in cloud architecture and design patterns. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or similar certification preferred.
