Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Microsoft Sentinel Engineer
Location: Fully Onsite in Austin, TX

About the Role
We are seeking a senior-level engineer specializing in Microsoft Sentinel with a focus on Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) . This role involves designing and implementing advanced security solutions within the Sentinel platform.

Responsibilities

  • Automation (40%) : Develop Sentinel SOAR playbooks using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
  • Analytics (30%) : Create UEBA detection rules and advanced hunting queries using KQL (Kusto Query Language).
  • Platform Engineering (15%): Build custom data connectors and interactive workbooks.
  • Code Development (10%) : Write helper scripts in Python , PowerShell , or .NET.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering , Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in software development , cloud engineering , or SIEM engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience :

  • 3+ years of hands-on technical experience with Microsoft Sentinel.

  • Strong proficiency in KQL and building SOAR playbooks.

  • Expertise in integrating Sentinel with EDR , IAM , and firewalls.

  • Certifications: SC-200, AZ-900/104, or SC-100/300.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel architecture and features.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python , PowerShell , and .NET.
  • Ability to design and implement automation workflows and analytics solutions.
