Information Security Engineer 2

Description: As an Information Security Engineer, you will support a range of low- to moderately complex initiatives that enhance the organization’s security posture. You will analyze challenges, identify opportunities for process improvement, and provide recommendations that contribute to overall security effectiveness. This role offers the opportunity to develop your security engineering expertise while collaborating with cross-functional partners and learning organizational policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in security consulting for small-scale internal projects to ensure alignment with corporate information security policies and standards.
• Review, analyze, and execute tactical Information Security Engineering tasks related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
• Track, maintain, and publish security baselines.
• Support product owners in creating and maintaining their security baseline documentation.
• Apply security solutions and industry best practices across areas such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, and business continuity.
• Leverage established cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards (e.g., NIST , CIS , STIG) to guide engineering decisions.
• Present recommendations to resolve moderately complex issues and exercise independent judgment while developing technical and organizational understanding.
• Provide clear information and guidance to internal clients within Information Security Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, training, military service, or education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a broad range of technology products, platforms, and product suites.
• Hands-on experience applying cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, STIG).
• Knowledge of risk management, compliance processes, and related best practices.
