Frontend/Backend Developer-Part -Time
Location: Remote (U.S. — Washington, DC Metro Area preferred) Part-Time Currently (Approx. 960 Hours, currently)
Clearance: Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Job Description:
Viderity is seeking a skilled Frontend/Backend Developer to build and support a secure, user-friendly federal web portal (e.g., the Applicant Portal). This full-time role involves developing both client-facing interfaces and backend infrastructure, ensuring a seamless experience for users across the system.
This role is aligned with the Senior Software Engineer I category under the Mathematica GSA MAS Labor Categories, which includes responsibilities such as software design, coding, debugging, and leading smaller development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Frontend:

Build and maintain responsive, accessible web portals (508 compliant).

Implement clean and intuitive UI/UX using modern frameworks.

Develop role-based access control (RBAC) for multi-user environments.

Participate in UI/UX reviews and peer code reviews.
Backend:

Design and maintain RESTful APIs and integration workflows.

Manage metadata ingestion pipelines, user authentication, and logic layers.

Implement database interactions and secure data transactions.

Maintain continuous deployment/integration pipelines.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

5 years of relevant software development experience.

Equivalent substitutions accepted per GSA guidelines.
Preferred Skills:

React, Angular, or Vue for frontend development.

Node.js, Python, or Java for backend APIs.

Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar RDBMS.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Strong understanding of security, compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, 508), and performance optimization.
