Software Application Developer
IBM is a multinational technology and consulting company. The Software Application Developer will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, and managing the deployment and maintenance of applications.
Responsibilities
- Worked on requirements analysis and estimation.
- Draft and complete the design to reflect system change requests implementation.
- Develop program management functions, write application programming, and develop software modules adopting required development processes and tools.
- Set up required test environments, generate test cases, and perform various tests, documenting before deploying.
- Deploy code to various test and production environments.
- Handle standard documentation, generating reports, and managing the merge process.
- Handle maintenance, issue fixing, resolution management on current running applications, and new deployed application components by coordinating with various teams and application optimization.
- Represent the team at customer high-level requirements review meetings, determine impacts to existing systems, document impacts, and translate them into technical requirements.
- Work on impact analysis on systems for changes to assess the size of customer requests, providing design and construction estimates of the work effort required to fulfil the requirements, and help customers in redefining requirements to meet their business needs.
- Identify the resource skills required for implementing requirements through feasibility analysis.
- Design customer requested enhancements in pseudo code.
- Create design documents for developers to use the code, test, and promote changes, as well as customer-oriented technical design review documents to allow customers to determine if the design meets their requirements.
- Review code changes done by developers using internal tools.
Skills
- Two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer, Application Developer or related
- Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing COBOL, CICS, Assembler, DB2, Agile with SCRUM/Sprint, SPUFI, File Manager, Db2 Admin tool
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related
