This role is designed for nursing students who are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and want to apply classroom learning in a real-world healthcare setting.Externship opportunities available on various inpatient units. Apply now to learn about current openings!Responsibilities Assist nursing staff with basic patient care under appropriate supervisionSupport patient safety, comfort, and daily care activitiesObserve and participate in clinical procedures as permitted by scope and trainingCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare teamMaintain patient confidentiality and follow Meritus policies and proceduresQualifications and Requirements Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with one year or less until graduationCompletion of a Med Surg clinical rotation and Fundamentals/ Foundations of NursingActive BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)GPA of 3.0 or better with submission of transcript * Two Letters of Recommendation (one from a clinical instructor)
