About the role
Would you like to become part of a team that brings satellites to life through precision engineering and cutting-edge technology? Join us in shaping the next generation of space technology.
We develop advanced, mission-critical technologies for the aerospace and defense sector — solutions that help protect people on land, at sea, and in the air. To support our continued growth, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to play a key role in shaping the systems that enhance global security.
Your role in our team
As our new RF Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-tech solutions that ensure safety and reliability for our customers. You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Program Management, R&D, and Customer Services to provide optimal technical solutions, supporting both development and implementation phases. Your work will involve hands-on tasks, testing, and problem-solving, while collaborating with experts to ensure seamless integration of complex systems. You will thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift, and your contribution directly impacts project success and customer satisfaction.
You will join a skilled international and highly innovative team of engineers and technicians developing Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for satellite and flight hardware testing. The team values hands-on collaboration, precision, and continuous learning .
How you will make a meaningful contribution — your key responsibilities
• Developing automated RF test sequences (in TCL TK) for advanced RF test systems, integrating equipment from Rohde Schwarz (Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Signal Generator, Power Sensor, Vector Network Analyzer) and Terma RF matching and switching units
• Defining and implementing RF EGSE architecture for satellite payloads and TT&C systems
• Preparing input for new test system proposals, including effort estimation and technical documentation
• Developing and validating RF test setups for performance testing (up to Ka-band)
• Executing RF link validation, compatibility testing, and providing integration support during project phases
• Preparing detailed documentation including design documentation, ICDs, test and performance reports, and user manuals
• Supporting customer reviews and maintaining close cooperation with system and payload engineers
Bring your world class expertise into play
The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a structured and self-driven approach. You excel in cross-disciplinary, hands-on environments, communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, and demonstrate initiative, accountability, and discretion. You value teamwork, continuous learning, and contribute positively to an innovative, dynamic workplace.
Required Expertise:
• University degree in RF, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in RF testing for satellite applications
• Hands-on experience with RF Satellite Test Systems, such as Electrical Ground Support Equipment, Special Check-Out Equipment, Central Check-Out System, or related RF systems
• Strong understanding of RF communication concepts: modulation, link budget, SNR.SW
• Programming skills in Java, TCL (GSE4), C/C++, and Python
• Proficiency with RF lab tools such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including customer interaction
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal: German skills — or the willingness to learn — are an advantage
