General Accountant with Quickbooks

Job Description Our client, a national manufacturer located in the Minneapolis area, is seeking an experienced General Accountant with at least 5 years Quickbooks experience. This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits.Responsibilities Financial statement and financial processing accuracy

• Ensure accuracy of all financial statements
• Maintain general ledger
• Enter payables and receivables
• Monitor banking transactions
• Oversee payroll and produce all payroll reporting
• Complete and file all tax reporting for the company
• Complete and file workers comp
• Ensure accuracy of all ERP transactions that impact financials
• Track and ensure accuracy of fixed assets
• Must have manufacturing experience

Business Protection

• Produce cash & expense forecasting as needed
• Monitor and maintain internal controls
• Reconcile customer POs to billings
• Contemporaneously document all meaningful transactions
• Match insurance coverage to business need
• HR experience a plus

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in a staff accountant role
• Proven knowledge of General Accounting Principles
• Deep knowledge of Quickbooks Software.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Solid knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to meet competing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
