This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable production by performing routine and emergency maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.Leadership PrinciplesOur principles, each with related practices, guide our actions across the organization. This role is responsible for the care, maintenance, and operability of all associated equipment in accordance with safety and quality specifications, regulatory guidelines, and company policies, with minimal supervision.Major Duties and Responsibilities Perform scheduled and emergency mechanical and general electrical maintenance on plant equipmentTroubleshoot, repair, install, adjust, and fabricate equipment and systemsSupport plant safety programs and comply with OSHA, NEC/NFPA 70E, and food safety standardsMaintain clean work areas and accurate maintenance records within the CMMS systemParticipate in continuous improvement and reliability-centered maintenance activitiesLubricate assets using precision lubrication techniquesProvide technical support to team members and respond efficiently to trouble callsCoordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors as neededObtain and maintain forklift certificationPerform other duties as assigned Special Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude, electrical fundamentals, and ability to work independentlyPhysically capable of performing demanding work, including awkward positionsAbility to work safely around noise, chemicals, and outdoor conditionsMust supply own tools required to perform maintenance tasksJourneyman-level Industrial Maintenance Technician or Millwright certification, or equivalent experienceBasic knowledge of 480V three-phase power, power distribution, control wiring, PLCs, and VFDsBasic electrical troubleshooting skills, including component replacement and VFD fault recognitionNo PLC, VFD, servo, or instrumentation programming responsibilities; may include coder setupAbility to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematicsEffective written and verbal communication skillsCompliance with PPE, GMP, and food safety requirementsThe McCain ExperienceWe are McCain: this statement is about our power collectively and our importance individually—your impact is a significant part of the business.
