Experience in a related field may constitute adequate qualifications in which requirements may be waived.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Answers a high-volume switchboard and acts as the office receptionist. Routes in-coming calls and receives visitors to the appropriate employee or department. Gives public information regarding agency services, policies and regulations.2. Responsible for receiving, logging and dispatching death calls quickly and efficiently.3. Responsible for receiving incoming mail, parcels and deliveries. Ensuring the appropriate personnel are notified of receipt of delivery in a timely manner.4. Accurately entering case specific information into the agency database.5. Perform related work as required and assigned.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge and experience of a telephone system with several incoming lines, hold lines, overhead paging, etc. Able to deal tactfully and professionally with the public. Accurate typing skills of 50 WPM. Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office. Skilled in written and oral communications. Ability to successfully complete any necessary training required by the agency.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain the physical and mental stamina to perform the work and willingness to accept the physical and mental discomforts inherent in the work.
