Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client inSunrise, FL. The ideal candidate will drive the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using Java and open-source technologies.

Rate Range: $37/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer job responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop scalable applications using Java and open-source technologies, ensuring high performance and low latency.
  • Implement asynchronous programming constructs and reactive frameworks for building robust solutions.
  • Develop and integrate microservices and APIs (REST, SOAP, gRPC) while maintaining code quality through unit testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software with business requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage source code repositories, resolve merge conflicts, and ensure adherence to Agile methodology.
  • Perform performance analysis and troubleshooting using Java performance tools and conduct root cause analysis for production issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Java and open-source technologies.
  • Strong expertise in Core Java constructs (Collections, Exceptions, Streams, Lambdas) and asynchronous programming (Multithreading, Executors, Futures, Completable Futures).
  • Proven experience with reactive frameworks (Spring Reactive, RxJava, Netty, Vert.X, Akka) and microservices development using REST APIs.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
