About The Role The Business Analyst at Locus Fermentation Solutions plays a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making processes across the organization. This position involves analyzing financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that can influence strategic initiatives. The Business Analyst will build and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes, and provide insights that support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. The role also encompasses managing accounts receivable processes, overseeing order fulfillment, and coordinating logistics activities to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical or data-driven role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and data visualization
- Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar software
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Experience working independently and collaboratively across departments
- Background in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools to support decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document, analyze, and improve business processes
- Analyze supply chain data to identify variances and process improvement opportunities
- Work with Operations, Finance, and Procurement teams to align strategies with business goals
- Assist with preparing presentations for the Board of Directors and conduct ad-hoc financial analyses for management
- Generate and update customer invoices upon sales order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with sales and leadership to resolve overdue accounts and gather payment updates
- Manage open orders, monitor fulfillment status, and communicate updates to relevant teams
- Support logistics activities, including scheduling freight shipments and conducting monthly freight analyses
