As a contract logistics specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing this accurately, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success of the warehouse and distribution centers. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The Project Director is a senior leadership role. The Project Director is the project owner of one or multiple Anchor projects and is leading teams of project managers and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of the project. The Project Director acts as a champion to the project with delegated project delivery accountability from the steering committee and therefore requires the following competences; ability to strategic thinking, effective resource management, and the ability to monitor and evaluate project performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Project Director serves as the critical link between project teams and steering committee; reporting on progress, risks, and outcomes. The Project Director is leading person to the customer and ensures solution alignment between customer and internal teams.

Accountable for the final delivery of a successful business.
Coordinate project managers and their teams to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Able to articulate the project’s value, and in a position to encourage buy in with stakeholders including the customer
Provide guidance and support to project managers, contractors, and other team members.
Create and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
Monitor resource allocation and optimize the use of shared resources across projects.
Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop and implement alternative plans to address deviations from project timelines or budgets.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Present project updates, milestones, and outcomes to Steering Committee
Track and report on project milestones, including financial and programmatic progress.
Use project management tools to generate real-time data and customizable reports.
Oversee critical decision-making processes related to project budgets, resources, and governance.
What we would like you to bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field
International Logistics Experience
5-10 years of experience in project management
5-10 years demonstrated leadership in successfully delivering large-scale projects on time, within scope, and within budget
Experience managing million-dollar budgets and resource planning across multiple concurrent projects
PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or comparable project/program management certification strongly preferred
