Associate Engineer, Substation Automation

Individual will perform engineering assignments (engineering and design) in support of testing, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of Substation Automation equipment for Eversource.Duties will include: Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) configuration, defining DNP points list, device polling rates, defining unsolicited events, producing device DNP templates and settings files, collaborating with outside engineering groups to select the appropriate communication medium for device deployment, evaluating new technologies that will be automated on the Distribution and Transmission systems. Individual is responsible for engineering solutions for devices that are optimally configured to provide the data accurately and timely to support real time systems and operations. Individual will serve as subject matter expert for Substation Automation technologies to ensure that Eversource is utilizing the right mix of products and services to meet operational requirements.
