Senior Systems Administrator / Tier 3 Support Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator / Tier 3 Support Engineer to join their Columbia-based team. This is a fast-paced, technically rich role ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and networking. You’ll begin in a senior service desk capacity handling escalated tickets (roughly 10 per day), with a clear growth path into the Escalation Team and ultimately the Project Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot complex issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune
  • Support Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Teams Voice (bonus)
  • Diagnose Intune compliance, device management, and policy issues
  • Work with SonicWall firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless controllers
  • Troubleshoot DNS, subnetting, NAT, SMTP, RDP, and SSL traffic
  • Support business applications (experience with AutoCAD or engineering/design tools is a big plus)
  • Configure and deploy PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Identify root causes and recurring trends, proactively improving processes

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of MSP experience (or similar high-volume technical environment)
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Solid networking fundamentals (Network+ preferred)
  • Experience supporting professional services, construction, engineering, or design environments is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset—not just quick fixes
  • Clear communicator who works well with both clients and leadership

Work Schedule

  • Based in Columbia, MD
  • Onsite during ramp-up , then hybrid (2–3 days in office weekly)
  • Occasional onsite client visits as needed
