About The Role

We are seeking a meticulous Frontend Engineer to join TeachShare’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive user interfaces. Collaborating closely with our designer—an ex-CIA analyst and Harvard graduate—you will participate in rapid iteration cycles, implementing growth experiments and deploying new features that directly influence teacher retention and engagement.

This position offers a unique opportunity to own the entire frontend experience of our platform, which boasts a week-4 retention rate exceeding 60%. You will be instrumental in conducting A/B testing experiments, analyzing data, and refining the user experience to optimize core metrics. Your work will have a tangible impact on the platform’s usability, performance, and growth trajectory.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with React or similar frameworks; familiarity with Solid.js is a plus
  • Obsession with design details, including spacing and pixel-perfect implementation
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and ship features quickly
  • Comfort with rapid iteration, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making
  • Experience with component-based design systems and modern frontend tools
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, growth experimentation, and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS, Zustand, React Query, and related tech stack is preferred
  • Previous experience in education technology or impact-focused products is advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Convert Figma designs into high-quality, responsive frontend code with precision
  • Implement growth experiments, including A/B tests and feature flagging using PostHog
  • Collaborate closely with designers to rapidly iterate on features and UI improvements
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system utilizing Solid.js and Tailwind CSS
  • Ensure optimal performance and responsiveness across various devices, including older Chromebooks
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, planning, and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
  • Own the frontend experience, including troubleshooting, bug fixing, and feature enhancements
  • Analyze user data to inform design and development decisions, optimizing for engagement and retention
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging frontend technologies
