About The Role We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in developing and deploying high-performance websites that are visually aligned with design mockups and optimized for accessibility and responsiveness. This position offers the flexibility of remote work but prefers candidates who are local to Sioux Falls. The Web Developer will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and clients to translate creative concepts into functional, scalable websites using core web technologies. Experience with content management systems such as Craft CMS or WordPress is a plus. The role requires a detail-oriented approach, a strong understanding of front-end and back-end performance, and a proactive mindset to solve complex problems and ensure project success.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience in web development
- Strong understanding of semantic HTML and modern CSS
- Proficiency in responsive design principles and techniques
- Knowledge of front-end and back-end performance optimization
- Experience conducting accessibility audits and implementing WCAG 2.2 guidelines
- Ability to maintain scalable CSS architectures and adhere to DRY and KISS principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret design mockups and replicate them with pixel-perfect accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Experience with CMS platforms such as Craft CMS or WordPress is preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, responsive website templates based on Figma mockups
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure design integrity, accessibility, and performance standards are met
- Translate client discussions into strategic online solutions and actionable development plans
- Implement and optimize websites for accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
- Conduct accessibility audits and ensure compliance with WCAG 2.2 guidelines
- Maintain scalable and maintainable CSS architectures
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during development and deployment
- Work proactively with team members to meet project deadlines and exceed expectations
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement processes
- Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the team
