Position Summary:

This position plays a crucial role in the implementation and maintenance of advertised promotions across the Fresh & Non-Perishable Departments. This includes handling the versioning, image attachment, and accurate entry of description and price points into systems such as Demandtec, Adplex, 3 Com, and OMI/Biceps. The role ensures timely and precise execution of divisional ad and pricing specifications, while identifying any issues, errors, or discrepancies and providing recommendations to Category Teams for resolution.

Additionally, the position is responsible for validating advertised retail prices, applying business rules to determine pricing based on available funding, and ensuring compliance with the promotion process and internal controls to protect margins. The Promotion Entry Admin also resolves coupon conflicts and promptly responds to store queries, making necessary corrections as required.

Planning and Execution

  • Manage and execute the ad version differences, changes and requirements in the ad accurately on time.
  • Provide inputs and extracts to all Merchandising Systems (i.e. DemandTec, MIC, PLUM, OMI, BICEPS, etc.) to ensure accurate billing, pricing, and promotions.
  • Ability to multi-task, as needed, prioritizing workload.
  • Coordinate information flow between Category Teams, Sales Team, Supply Chain, Item Life Cycle, Advertising and Pricing.

Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively with peers to produce the required work on a weekly basis to ensure the ad is completed accurately and on time. Report issues with systems validate performance and participate in any User Acceptance Testing UAT) on upgrades as needed
  • Collaborate with Advertising to ensure timely and accurate communication of all ad related promotional information (including accurate ad versioning) for assigned categories.
  • Validate ad retails versus system retails to ensure data integrity for the ad and to prevent issues at store level.

Operational Excellence

  • Process information (electronic or paper) required from suppliers, category teams and advertising to enable promotions to be executed in the requisite systems as require
  • Enter promotional retails into DemandTec Promo, and/or any other required systems (Legacy, etc.)
  • Validate that Category Teams do not implement promotional pricing tactics that are inconsistent with banner strategy.
  • Implement promotional retails required by Price Analysts pricing to respond to competitive situations when appropriate.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in all promoted prices implemented. Research and resolve any billing issues as required.
  • Accountable for end-to-end promotional validation and quality control.
  • Responsible for connection with marketing/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) execution (define ownership).
  • Responsible for verifying content and accuracy of Promotions.
  • Responsible for 100% accuracy of the ad — the pictures match the promotions and the deals match the system.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the role, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable law. Hourly Range: $20.49 – $27.31

This position will be on-site at the Giant Food Headquarters in Hyattsville, MD.
