About The Role The Senior Data Analyst — Navista — Data & Advanced Analytics plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making within Cardinal Health’s Navista division, a dedicated oncology practice alliance. This position involves working cross-functionally to analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and provide actionable insights that support revenue cycle management, practice performance, and operational metrics. The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for exploring data, identifying root causes of issues, and recommending strategic solutions that enhance business performance. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, data engineers, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of managing large-scale projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and delivering impactful analytics initiatives that contribute to the organization’s mission of empowering oncology practices to deliver patient-centered cancer care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8-12 years of professional experience, preferred
  • 5 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data modeling
  • Experience in healthcare analytics, especially oncology data and revenue cycle management
  • Knowledge of value-based care models and analytics
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control/CI-CD pipelines
  • Experience with multi-cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with data visualization and predictive analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex projects
  • Experience mentoring less experienced team members

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of business processes, systems, data, and analytical tools to explore and identify root causes of operational and financial issues
  • Monitor system performance to ensure processes are executing correctly and troubleshoot issues to prevent disruptions in purchase orders and receiving
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and recommend innovative solutions for business challenges
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to validate hypotheses and uncover insights that inform decision-making
  • Utilize advanced analytics methodologies to model, analyze, and clean datasets for accuracy and reliability
  • Develop and recommend data-driven solutions, summarizing their financial and operational impact with clear pros and cons
  • Partner with Data Engineers to create data models, reports, and dashboards that standardize key metrics and KPIs
  • Lead analytics projects that deliver measurable ROI, guiding teams toward effective solutions
  • Mentor junior colleagues, sharing best practices and technical expertise to foster team growth
  • Independently manage the scope and execution of large, complex projects with significant long-term impact
  • Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and new analytics practices to improve organizational effectiveness
