Business Development Leader — Advanced Monitoring & Industrial Intelligence Solutions

Location: Dallas or Remote within the U.S.

Wenham Carter are partnering with a rapidly growing provider of advanced monitoring and diagnostic technologies used across critical industrial and infrastructure environments. The organization delivers intelligent sensor platforms and integrated data systems that enable real-time visibility, fault detection, and operational reliability for asset-intensive businesses.

We are seeking a Business Development Leader who will drive market expansion across North America, champion strategic partnerships, and position the company’s technology suite as a preferred solution for organizations seeking modern, data-driven monitoring capabilities. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy, identifying emerging opportunities, and engaging directly with industry decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track developments in industrial digitalization and monitoring technologies to identify new commercial avenues and early-stage opportunities.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with prospective clients, strategic partners, and ecosystem influencers to build a strong opportunity pipeline.
  • Assess client pain points and operational needs and articulate tailored technology solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Create and implement go-to-market strategies aimed at accelerating revenue growth and strengthening the company’s position in the industrial intelligence sector.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends, advising leadership on potential adjustments to product positioning and commercial strategy.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, activity tracking, and performance reporting for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management and marketing to enhance sales tools, documentation, and enablement assets.
  • Partner with regional sales teams to maintain and prioritize target account lists.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and technical forums.
  • Contribute to additional strategic or operational initiatives as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or a related discipline; advanced education is advantageous.
  • 5 years’ experience in business development or technical sales within industrial technology, automation, IoT, or data-driven monitoring environments.
  • Strong grasp of sensor-based monitoring, system integration, and digital infrastructure technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new markets, building long-term customer relationships, and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to convey sophisticated technical concepts to diverse audiences in a clear, commercially compelling way.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities with a consultative, solution-oriented style.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and commercial teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, strategic acumen, and market awareness.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, partner meetings, and industry events as required.
