Role Overview

The CEO will define and guide the strategic vision and long-term growth of our client. This leader must bring deep knowledge of laboratory services, strong business acumen, and the ability to oversee all major functions. Experience working within private equity environments is essential due to the organization’s growth stage and expectations for disciplined scale, financial rigor, and enterprise value creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate the vision, mission, and long-term strategic plan.
  • Oversee all major functions, including consulting, recruiting and staffing, laboratory management, revenue cycle services, LIS operations, compliance, and client support.
  • Lead growth initiatives including expansion into new markets and services, strategic partnerships, and enhancements to business development.
  • Manage financial performance including budgeting, profitability, forecasting, cost structure, and risk.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and ensure regulatory compliance across all service areas.
  • Serve as the public representative of the organization with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strengthen company culture focused on collaboration, quality, innovation, and community impact.
  • Lead and develop the senior leadership team.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Fifteen or more years of experience in clinical laboratories, diagnostics and healthcare services.
  • Proven success leading and scaling service-oriented organizations in regulated healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with private equity ownership including board engagement, reporting, value creation planning, M&A strategy, and operational rigor.
  • Strong financial management skills including P&L oversight and enterprise scaling.
  • Deep understanding of laboratory workflows, regulatory frameworks, and staffing challenges.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, payers, and regulators.
  • Strong alignment with organizational values focused on quality, collaboration, innovation, and community.
