About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Sustainability team at Worldly. This multidisciplinary role involves collaborating with data scientists, sustainability experts, product managers, and software engineers to transform complex sustainability data into actionable insights. The primary focus will be on leveraging graph network analysis and AI-driven qualitative data modeling to uncover patterns across global supply chains and develop predictive capabilities that inform smarter, more sustainable business decisions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building models that help identify environmental impact reduction opportunities at scale, ultimately supporting our clients in achieving their sustainability goals. This position is remote, based in the US, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental change through innovative data science techniques.
Qualifications
- 4-10 years of experience in data science or analytics
- Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, networkx, PyTorch, spaCy, or similar tools
- Strong SQL skills with experience working with Postgres databases
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and Git-based version control systems
- Experience with graph databases and AI/NLP methods for processing text data
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for sustainability
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Build and analyze graph models of supply chains, product relationships, and sustainability impact networks
- Apply natural language processing (NLP) and AI techniques to extract insights from qualitative data sources such as sustainability reports and industry assessments
- Develop predictive and forecasting models to help clients test and optimize strategic decisions
- Design and implement analytical workflows integrated with our Postgres data warehouse and Cube semantic layer
- Partner with engineers and sustainability experts to translate analytical findings into real-world impact strategies
- Continuously enhance models and analytical processes to improve accuracy and scalability
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, NLP, and sustainability data analysis to incorporate best practices
